O.R.B. returns with another gut-busting Techno joint titled Liquid 999. Messrs Bolland, Van Der Rieten and Cop waste no time and get right down to business to follow up on their last outing, remix duties for DJ One Finger’s, One Finger, which certainly lived up to the hype. This tenacious trio are raising the bar when it comes to good old Techno party music. Their many, many years of experience (yes, they are getting on a bit) ensure that only the highest quality will do. As individuals they’ve left their mark on the scene and now, as a group, they’re creating a whole new experience for those of us who were lucky to be around back in the day and for fresh clubbers alike. Liquid 999 is a sure-fire dancefloor destroyer thanks to a rolling, thunderous Techno groove, bursting at the seams with trippy retro vibes. A thumping kick drum leads the way alongside shuffling, slicing hats that generate a solid rhythm. An understated bassline lurks on the low end as a subtle 303-line teases us into the groove. The classic “oh yeah” vocal will raise the hairs on the back of your neck, as will the gnarly bass and rave synth stabs on the break.
