As we move into the second half of 2017 we continue our classics remixed series with Groove Park’s Hit The Bang getting a contemporary makeover. Andre Strasser and Sharam Jey aka Sharam Nickjey Khososi make up the dynamic duo that is Groove Park. They were also the men behind massive projects such as 16C+, Three n One and Johnny Shaker to name just a few. GP burst onto the scene with Memories/Carrousel – on the by then very famous Bonzai Records – in 1995 before they really hit it big with Hit The Bang. The track came at a time when the music was starting to splinter off into multiple sub genres, and this one found itself in a unique position in clubland. A hybrid progressive trance/techno offering that really got the floors pumping which kept the Bonzai brand synonymous with pure quality music. We think it’s the perfect candidate for the remix treatment which is why we’ve enlisted the hugely talented Relaunch to do the deed. German producer Maik Relaunch returns to BP after a short hiatus, and he couldn’t have picked a better time as we continue our run of tributes to the classics. After a slew of top remixes for the likes of Airwave & Phi Phi, Thorin, Sector 7, Gai Barone and Quadran, Maik delivered several quality cuts for BP that gained huge support from many jocks. He has also been a stalwart in the JOOF camp with top class tracks and remixes also gaining huge support worldwide.

Dorian Fabian Padilla EspInola aka Doriaan returns to Bonzai Progressive hot on the heels of his very well received debut – Buffet Froid – with the superb Perte EP. Self taught in the art of music production, Dorian is quickly rising through the ranks, gaining great support from across the board thanks to his dynamic productions. It was only 2 years ago that he got his first official release and since then he has found himself in a very exclusive niche within the progressive house sound. This guy is definitely one to watch, no doubt we’ll be seeing lots more in the future.

Portuguese outfit John Deluxe aka Joao Nina and Trippin Fox aka Andre Vieira debut on Piston with the superb Dubvious EP. Since 2016 these two have been churning out top quality vibes together on various labels. Sometimes they go solo but mostly stick together in the studio with outstanding results. The both enjoy DJing around their respective hometowns and further afield with their infectious brand of tech house grooves. Great to have them here and we hope to see more soon.

French house music duo DJ Entwan aka Antoine Maitre and Dan Corco join forces on their Piston Recordings debut with the fantastic Lala La EP. Antoine is well known for his night time transformations where he brings his brand of electronic music to the discerning clubber. His influences range from Vincenzo D’amico, Max Chapman, George Privatti, Mirco Caruso and Mauro Venti among others. His tracks have been rocking floors for almost 8 years and he enjoys the support of a plethora of top jocks. Dan is influenced by new wave and the new beat sound along with strong links to the Detroit movement. He started to produce around the year 2000 and his first tracks were quickly signed to the prestigious Rotation Records run by Dave Angel (UK) as well as Scandium Records (France). Musically he is very open, he produces various styles and takes great pleasure in mixing genres and trying to innovate his sound. His solid productions have gained him more and more DJ gigs in France and beyond. Delighted to have these guys on board.

Adriano and Checco are back at it again on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Naked which comes backed up with a quality remix. We last saw the guy’s on remix duties for Doriaan’s Buffet Froid where they delivered a delicious progressive slice. We always love it when this Italian duo send over their latest work, great stuff as always.

One of our longstanding artists Sa.Du aka Greek techno guru Thanos Dimitriou returns with another stomper Last Chance. This guy has dished out some serious bangers in the last 6 years and it’s no wonder we get excited when his new material comes through the inbox. To date Sa.Du has a very impressive list of released tracks and remixes across various top quality labels including, Bonzai Basiks, B-Limited, Eyepatch Recordings, Bonzai Progressive, Ak-Tek Records, Mint & Mustard Recordings, Wasabi Records, Hi Fi Stories and many, many more. Thanos is someone who puts all his efforts into making music that speaks to the listener in a way that gets ingrained on the memory, in his own words – “Each track has a piece from my mind and my soul”. With a philosophy like this you can be sure that only the best will do.

Pavlin Petrov returns for his 4th stint on Bonzai Basik Beats with another superb tightly constructed set filled with a plethora of top notch sounds. Without doubt one of the most influential figures in electronic music for almost three decades. Oliver Lieb aka L.S.G. treats us to his new double album (and his 10th studio album under this moniker) Double Vision. Fresh off the back of an exclusive vinyl pressing (on Bonzai Progressive) of his massive hit – Netherworld, this sublime album traverses a world of cosmic chilled out grooves and straight up 4×4 killers. Since 1988 this guy has been at the cutting edge of electronic music and has seen himself transition between multiple genres, dominating in every one. He is most known for his L.S.G. guise which has given us so much quality tracks over the years. He is also renowned for Paragliders and Spicelab among many other aliases as well as working in several very successful groups over the years. He has released on labels including Superstition, Harthouse, Hooj, JOOF and Platipus as well as our very own XTC, Bonzai Trance Progressive, Tripomatic and Tranceportation. His CV includes a plethora of remixes including Faithless, Moby, Human League and Mory Kante to name a few. In 2010 he started Solieb Digital where he would unleash his back catalogue in re-mastered glory. We could go on for days about this guy, but instead we’ll let his brand new album do the talking.

Bob The Groove delivers his next Bonzai Progressive slice in the form of the superb two tracker entitled My Bro Da Rastaman. This one marks the Frenchman’s third BP outing and once again he proves his talent with two sublime tracks. His last effort here – Some Seeds Of Love – was very well received indeed having secured high rankings on various charts and lots of playtime. Much more to come from this guy and well worth keeping an eye and an ear on.

K.Oshkin aka Konstantin Oshkin returns to Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic Heaven which comes packed with three solid remixes. His last outing – Assol, charted very well indeed and this new slice continues his relationship with Ewan Rill and Following as they provide the remixes once again alongside BP newcomer Federico Monachesi. K.Oshkin has racked up an impressive discography that focuses in on quality progressive sounds. His work has been released on various labels including Incepto, Sleepless Nights Recordings, Inmost Records, Aeriform Records and Balkan Connection to name just a few.
