Lala La EP

Piston Recordings PR2017339 21 August, 2017

French house music duo DJ Entwan aka Antoine Maitre and Dan Corco join forces on their Piston Recordings debut with the fantastic Lala La EP. Antoine is well known for his night time transformations where he brings his brand of electronic music to the discerning clubber. His influences range from Vincenzo D’amico, Max Chapman, George Privatti, Mirco Caruso and Mauro Venti among others. His tracks have been rocking floors for almost 8 years and he enjoys the support of a plethora of top jocks. Dan is influenced by new wave and the new beat sound along with strong links to the Detroit movement. He started to produce around the year 2000 and his first tracks were quickly signed to the prestigious Rotation Records run by Dave Angel (UK) as well as Scandium Records (France). Musically he is very open, he produces various styles and takes great pleasure in mixing genres and trying to innovate his sound. His solid productions have gained him more and more DJ gigs in France and beyond. Delighted to have these guys on board.

Lala La is a solid house music slice that will definitely get the floors moving. Right from the off we’re lured into its groove as pumping beats are joined by a filtered synth and probing bassline. Cool vocals litter the sound adding character. Funkier elements start to creep into the groove that are sure to keep the asses shaking. Excellent stuff and a definite must have.

The early French house inspired Break Down intros with a nice powerful punchy kick drum alongside crispy hi hats that provide a dancey beat to get down to. A cool discofied funky bassline fades in which is joined by familiar guitar licks and pretty soon you will find yourself hooked on the groovy vibe on offer. The track oozes retro house and, aside from it being a dancefloor destroyer, will definitely get it a lot of attention for that. Not to be missed.
