Bonzai Progressive BP9122020 3 February, 2020

Latin Intelligent aka Andrei Malchanau, debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb two tracker entitled Joruba. Andrei was born and grew up in Belarus, but dedicated himself to DJing in Poland, where for several years he focused on developing his DJ skills. After several visits to America, and especially New York, in 2010, he moved there to continue his journey with productions and gigs. Very skilled as a vinyl DJ and versatile as a producer, he joined the NYC underground by becoming a common name for the cities esteemed Sullivan Room Records. With a number of heavily supported releases already, his EPs feature remixes from such underground giants as A Guy Called Gerald, Mobius Strum and more, with many best works to come. For him, there are no restrictions in the sounds which are used in his tracks. Everything must be perfect. A person who listens to the track, must understand that it is not just the music, the music that should excite all new feelings. His DJ sets present enormous energy, the main task of which is to have a dance floor that is rocking. Great to have him on board.

Joruba opens with a powerful kick drum with arena qualities alongside a shuffling hat sequence and building percussions. An intensity begins to rise as a strong, rolling bassline fade up, teasing us, making us want it more. Dramatic risers add an extra spice to the track which borders on full on acid in places, yet remaining subtly progressive at its core. A monster of a tune that will have the floors rocking, no doubt.

Hagakure offers up a dreamier experience thanks to a wonderful combination of melodies and rich harmonics. A steady groove plays out, thanks to solid beats and a robust low end which unleashes rippling bass sequences. The track builds and builds, raising the energy levels and giving the crowd the perfect platform for lift-off. A must have track that will not disappoint.
