Green Martian GM2016268 7 March, 2016

Russian DJ and producer Anton Batukov aka AnTone debuts on Green Martian with the wonderful two tracker entitled Engine, which is a super fine slice of tech and progressive house that will surely get any floor rocking. Anton has been DJing since 2005 and moved to producing music since 2010 using the likes of Reason as his main tool alongside VST plug-ins. He likes to dabble in many different genres and can turn his hand to trance, house, techno and disco. Definitely a talent to keep an eye on.

Engine goes straight into a solid progressive tech groove right from the get go as bright stabs dish out a rhythmic pattern. Big chunky kicks and a superb pumping bassline keep the groove driving which will translate perfectly to the floors. On top of the ever present stabs we get treated to some cool synths that blend into the maelstrom effortlessly. On the break we get hypnotised by a wonderfully simplistic note as those stabs begin their rise once more and we are thrust back into the main groove for the duration. Top notch stuff you will not want to miss.

Lonely Train delivers a nice and warm progressive house groove as punchy kick drums and a gnarly bassline join forces alongside crispy hats and cool percussion. As the layers build we are treated to some warming chords that are laced with a melodic tinge. These chords dominate the break before the track gets back into full swing leaving us with nothing more to do but dance and relish in the progressive glow this one delivers. An excellent slice that will turn a few heads no doubt.
