Russian based producer Dofamine returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Star Light. Last time out we got some real nice progressive vibes on For My Love which grabbed a lot of attention. Dofamine never fails to impress and releases on the likes of Suffused, ICONYC and Stripped Recordings as well as the mighty Bonzai have secured his place at the top of the progressive pile. Always a pleasure to hear new material from Dofamine and no doubt there’ll be much more to come.
Star Light opens with a snappy kick drum as various percussions start to form a smooth rhythmic flow. A wonderfully warm and lush bass emerges washing the groove in deep tones while hypnotic arpeggios add lots of movement to the sound. Subtle melodies creep through and on the break the melodies really shine, creating a beautiful sounsdscape before the track powers back into full on mode. A solid slice of mid tempo progressive here that will not disappoint.
Echoes is a suitably apt title for Dofamine’s next cut as the intro paints a wonderful kaleidoscope of colourful sounds through a myriad of echoing sounds. The sounds blend effortlessly, intertwining into a rich tapestry of noise. A nice and solid drum section develops which gives us a steady rhythm to get down to. Sweet, soft melodies arrive in the form of cascading arpeggios while atmospheric pads swirl overhead. A wondrous piece that is most definitely not to be missed.
