Andrew Lewis is back with his latest offering titled Captivate EP which comes hot on the heels of his remix for Anthony Yarranton’s Meridian from just a few months ago. This one marks his fourth outing for us at Bonzai Progressive – as well as a few remixes – and each time he manages to blow us away with his creative skills. Andrew has almost two decades of experience. He started out in progressive music and quickly found a niche with his sublime sound. He also has releases under Se7enth Fury, Grammaton Records and Sold Soul Records and he continues to make a big splash in the industry. He combines a deep knowledge of various genres along with solid DJ skills which is why we’re always excited when he delivers new material.

Captivate opens with a subtle tech vibe filled with metallic sounds and a muted kick. Rhythmic percussions layer up alongside plucked synths before a short break reveals a dark vocal which leads to the bass drop. The bassline is a multi-layered sequence that delivers a solid groove on the low end, forcing you to move. The title is apt as the track does captivate with its mesmerizing sounds. A definite must have for sure.

Timeframe is a pacey progressive mover laden with hypnotic sounds and a beautifully pumping punchy kick drum. The track has a wonderfully rich background atmosphere which draws you in. Soft, swirling pads line up against subtle melodic notes and haunting, discreet vocals. The break throws in a trance-like pluck before the beats return for the duration. A sublime cut that will not disappoint.

Converge intros with a very cool retro themed construction made up of chunky beats, plucky basses and an upfront synth pluck. The sound casts up memories of classic progressive and the sweeping synths have a rave quality. Full of energy and drive, the groove takes us to the floor with ease making this an absolute must for any peak time set.
