Italian producers Angelo Draetta & Gianni Alessandrelli join creative forces with their Piston debut Kale Polis EP. Since 2010 Angelo has been a prominent figure among the House music fraternity, he dips his toes into Deep House and Tech House also and has appeared on a vast array of labels including Manyoma Records, City Life, Talk Musique, Green Music and many more. Gianni came through onto the scene in 2014 with top releases on Opium Muzik, Revox Records and Tulipe Records. Great sound from these guys, well worth keeping an eye on.

Turtlemen can only be described as a quintessential Piston floorjammer with its rounded, lush basses and super tight drums that keep the rhythm in check. Subtle chord stabs leak out in the background and provide a proper house flavour to the sound as some cool vocals cast their sing-song style lyrics. Definitely a track you will be finding on many playlists, not to be missed.

The Vibes gives off a cool electro themed style as evident in the tight drum and percussion arrangements and chunky kicks. The groove is carried along nicely as those drums dominate the sound before a warm bass is introduced taking the groove that little bit deeper. Cool vocals and sharp synth hits add character to an otherwise drum infested sound. This one is a master class in pattern construction that will be a welcome addition in many sets.

Gianni Alessandrelli goes solo on Kale Polis which intros with a smooth, deep sound complete with throbbing basses and muted kicks. Shuffling hats, crispy claps and marching snares deliver a solid rhythmic groove as those deep basses plod through. Deliciously sultry female vocals captivate as we are taken deeper into House music. A real nice slice of deep goodness that is not to be missed.
