Iosupescu Lucian is the man behind our latest release called “Drug Dealer EP”. Iosupescu is a Romanian DJ and producer living in Italy, with strong focus in what he want and where he wanna go with his music.
Drug Dealer is his debut EP at Monog Records and it is a perfect exemple of Iosupescu tremendous skills as a producer. This EP is composed by 2 original tracks (“Drug Dealer” and “Power Down”) with a very deep, moody vibe (so characteristic of this label) and an outstanding remix of “Drug Dealer” by our well known Spanish duo Iban Montoro and Jazzman Wax. This remix is an authentic dancefloor bomb, with a very different (and much more agressive) approach compared to the original version.
This is highly addictive so consume it at your own risk.
MNG037 featured the return of one of our oldest family member, diSapia! Tom Disapia is the man behind one of our all time favourite releases, “They mostly Hunt at Night EP” (MNG008), so the expectations were really high for this one and we couldn’t be more happy with the final results!
Smog City EP is composed by two original tracks: “Smog City” and “Bring it Back”.
“Smog City” have the word DISAPIA written all over. It is a great representation of his incredible work and talent as a producer, a deep, dense atmosphere, a funky vocal and an incredibly detailed work on the groove.
“Bring it Back” is an anthem for all the House music lovers out there. It have a driving bass line, an happy mood and a lovely vocal that will be in your head of a while. At last but not least, we invited Alan Castro to make a remix for “Smog City” and we are delighted with the final results! Incredible work that once again shows the tremendous amount of talent this Argentinian producer have. It’s deep, dense and underground. We love it!
MNG036 is our first release in 2014 and we took the chance to welcome our new artist Hedubble and his debut release into the family.
Born in 1983 in Coimbra, Portugal and now living in London, HedUbble grew up listening and capturing sounds from very different genres. He has some strong influences from artists like Seth Troxler, Metroarea, Carl Craig, SoulClap and Ricardo Villalobos. Traffic EP is composed by two original tracks with a very dark and spatial feeling: Traffic (obviously the responsible for the name of the ep) is a complete bomb! A strong groove complemented with some vocal snippet’s and a beautiful chord as the main element.
The B side track is called UNDG and again is a very dark and mysterious track with a very similar construction to “Traffic”. We are deeply in love with this release and we are sure that you will also be.
Luis Bravo is the artist behind Yin EP and, once again, what a wunderfull job he made here! Three tracks are making the package: The “Original mix”, the “Original 6am Mix” and the “ELEME3NT Mix”.
“Yin” is the other part of our already released “Yang EP” from Luis, so you will find some similar approach here: An outstanding groove and a chord that goes on and on making the mood. The Original 6am mix is a more “darker” version of the main mix.
At last but not least, we invited our artist ELEM3NT to make his magic with a remix for “Yin” and what an hell of a work he made! A lot of influence of Detroit techno, a very powerfull groove but with the subtile chords, so characteristic from the original mix! Well done ELEME3NT!
“Looking Down” was the last EP from Joal on Monog Records and probably the most successful ep we had till now! After we licensed to m_nus for their “Enter Ibiza 2013″ compilation, “Looking Down” was literally played all over the world by artists like Barem, Hot since 82, Mihai Popoviciu, and many others. Now, the label owner is back with a fresh new release. Over EP represents the end of a chapter in life with his moving from Lisbon to Berlin! Two original tracks (“Over” and “I See Why”) are making the package and again you will find a lot of groove inside.
This EP is highly influenced by detroit techno, so TR 909, deep basslines and piano chords are the basis of the entire release. No more words needed, just listen and see for yourself!
