Rubba J aka Jan Costermans hits us up with his third Piston release entitled Aqua Park. His previous outings – The Next and The Art Of Doing Nothing – both hit the mark and gained some great support. Having honed his skills using a drum machine and a guitar, Rubba J’s unique signature style consists of quality drum patterns and groovy synths and basses all rolled up into smooth deep house sounds. Great to see him back once again.
Italian born and London based DJ and producer PulpTalks returns to Piston Recordings with the superb two tracker – Sugar Lips. We saw PulpTalks debut here back in the Summer of 2016 with Sand which gained good support all over. With a penchant for turning out some quality vibes and for igniting the party with his DJ sets, we’ve no doubt that this guy will just get better and better.
Japanese DJ and producer Ryo Kinjo aka Ryo-Chin debuts on Piston Recordings with the deep and luscious two tracker Chandan. Ryo’s music career started in 2000 as a DJ in clubs in Okinawa. In 2004 he started to produce his own sounds and he soon found his music appearing on various compilations. After releasing on a few labels he signed with Soulstar Records in 2015 where the bulk of his work resides. Since then he has topped many charts and playlists across the world. We’re delighted to have him on board at Piston.
The Secrets Of The Trade is back with more tantalising house grooves that will keep any party rocking. Now in its 7th iteration, we’ve left no stone unturned to source only the very best quality vibes for your listening pleasure. Tracks from the likes of Leandro Di, Redwaxx, Demarkus Lewis, Leandro Silva, Michael Nunes, Orlando Voorn, PulpTalks and more bring their A-game to this one so you know it makes sense to keep this one primed and ready to hit the floors.
Portuguese DJ and producer duo Miguel Oliveira and Carlos Lazaro aka Lazer Mike join the Piston Recordings stable and delivers this fine deep house slice – Insomnia – as their debut release. Known for informative and forthright podcasts that feature a who’s who in Portuguese dance music circles and for eclectic music productions which incorporate live elements, Lazer Mike is a multi-talented duo who strive to deliver only the finest quality sounds. Over the last few years they have unleashed their sounds to the world with releases on You Feel You Records, Home Made and Nothing But. Their sound is organic and the live elements they bring to their shows reflects this beautifully. From slow beats to uptempo grooves their music has been championed by the likes of Robert Owens, Antonio Bastos, Animal Trainer and more. Well worth checking these guys out, you will not be disappoined.
Italian producer Marco Madia returns to Piston with another top notch two tracker entitled Ascidian. Marco has been in and around the underground scene for a number of years. In 2006 he moved to Berlin where he got a degree audio engineering and soon started work as a sound designer. He also produces under the pseudonym Flip Morton and his experience has led to working on film soundtracks and exhibitions. This one is Marco’s sixth Piston release and we’ve become accustomed to his quality, something we look forward to hearing more of in the future.
Demarkus returns to Piston with the fantastically upbeat dance-your-socks-off I do It Naturally which comes backed up with a great remix from Bonetti. After appearing on Secrets Of The Trade in 2015 Demarkus delighted us with his full debut – Strung On You, soon after. His sound carries a wonderful deep house flavour and it’s no wonder he’s appeared on many top house labels over the years. We’re delighted to see him back and we just know that this one is gonna rock.
One of Monog’s best known and prolific artists returns with more deep tech goodness for our listening pleasure. Luis Bravo delivers his two track Bubbles & Dues EP and once more we’re blown away with this guys’ creativity and professional approach. He stands out as a highly respected artist in his field, striving to maintain quality sounds in everything he does and this is evident just by listening to his work. His last appearance on Monog was back in November 2015 on remix duties for Pulse8’s Feel the Way EP, delighted to have him back for more.
Slugin Vitaly aka Russian house music maestro Redwaxx, debuts on Piston with the superb My Ground. With a solid presence amongst DJ’s, Redwaxx has taken to the airways on various radio stations where he delivers smooth house grooves with a classic vibe. On the production front he has notched up a few releases on Kolour Recordings and Crossworld Vintage with much more to come no doubt. A rising talent for sure and one we’re delighted to welcome into the Piston family.
Ukrainian DJ and producer Lessovsky aka Oleg Lisovsky debuts on Piston with the superb Anytime You Want It EP, which features three top notch deep house cuts for our listening pleasure. Oleg’s sound is an impressive fusion of emotional electronic tone with deep flavour and melodics. He’s been churning out quality vibes since 2012 on many top labels, and this looks set to continue for many years. His extensive catalogue now contains over 50 productions and some have aired on BBC Radio 1 broadcasts and are found in top playlists on international radio stations on a regular basis. Great to have him on board.
