Colombian DJ and producer John Niño aka Zalvador marks his Bonzai Progressive debut with the excellent Chronology which is backed up with a quality remix from Ewan Rill. With a wealth of experience on the DJ circuit, John decided to step into the studio in 2016 to explore his sound and form an identity he can translate into clean, melodic progressive sounds. Since 2018 he has released a few tracks and is currently working on more. A rising talent we’re delighted to have on board.
The Original Mix delivers a deliciously organic progressive house cut. Tight drums and lush tones litter the groove as mesmeric arpeggios cascade through the sound. In the background a captivating vox pad draws you in as the arps intensify. The breakdown refreshes the senses with a truly inspiring collection of sounds that evoke emotion before we return to the deep, warming bass tones of the main track. An absolutely stunning track that is not to be missed.
Ewan Rill aka DJ and producer Ivan Romanovskii returns to BP on remix duties and this one follows his last remix on K.Oshkin’s Aura which went down a real treat on the floors. He has more than a thousand tracks across a multitude of labels and he remains a leading artist in the electronic music world, enjoying great support from top DJ’s with whom he has also played alongside at top venues. On the remix here, Ewan takes us on a more direct-to-the-floor journey thanks to a punchy, rhythmic drum section and tight arrangements. Subtle elements from the original are evident as the groove is stepped up courtesy of trickling arpeggios and soft melodies. The bassline captures the hips, forcing them to sway, but it’s the amalgamation of several synth elements that sit at the core of this track, making it a perfect addition to any set.
