Yuriy From Russia is back at Bonzai Progressive after a short hiatus, and this time he delivers the fantastic Lost War alongside singer, songwriter Fleriin. Yuriy has been a constant force at BP for the last number of years. As well as his own material he has contributed a raft of remixes for a plethora of top artists with critical acclaim coming in from all angles. He has a unique take on music and he also has a knack for finding the most beautiful voices for his tracks. His current discography is extensive and he shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. Fleriin is singer, songwriter Tamara Flerinskaia from St Petersburg, Russia. A relative newcomer on the scene, her writing and vocal skills are getting noticed. We’re delighted to have her on board and we’ve no doubt she will become a major voice on the scene.

Exotic percussions, glowing melodies and smooth rhythms set the Original Mix up to be an enchanting experience. Driven by tight, punchy beats and a powerful, tonal bassline, the crowning glory is the beautifully executed vocal from Fleriin. The vocal cuts through the deeper elements with vibrance, whispered in parts, it provides a dynamic in the groove that makes the track work, brilliantly.

Pavlin Petrov is first up on the remix, returning to BP after his last stint with Eternal Sky alongside Graham Lloris. Pavlin started producing in 2005 with a keen interest in ambient before he got more into progressive house. He likes to experiment with every new track and express that deep and dark feeling dedicated to his unique style. He’s been responsible for a raft of quality cuts for us over the years and we’ve no doubt there’s much more to come. Here, Pavlin gives us a taste of his wonderful talents, providing a deeper, groovier interpretation. Warm and wholesome, the vocal melts into the groove effortlessly. Deep basses are contrasted with slicing hats and sharp claps alongside rising arpeggios. The vocal is sublime, adding character to the track, making it mesmerizing. Top-notch stuff.

The Sirius returns to BP on remix duties, following on from the superb, Thoth’s Spell. Having discovered electronic music, Sergio started spinning at clubs and local radio stations. This led him to play at big events alongside some top names in the industry. In 2003 he was introduced to trance music and successfully held residencies in his hometown. He’s been injecting a progressive element into his sound with superb results. Sergio owns his own label, Orbital Records and he is a Director of the Academy of DJ’s and producers called Orbital, in the city of Cordoba. On the remix here, we get a more energetic groove, thanks to a strong rolling bassline and intricate array of arpeggio patterns. Smooth, upfront rhythms make it easy to dance to and that vocal bursts out, captivating your soul. A highly infectious groove, the plucky nature adds an extra rhythmic level that will force you to move.
