Russian electronic music artist Undertale, debuts on Bonzai Progressive with Alive But Dead, which features a solid remix from Doriaan. Undertale is a new project who used to go by Santiago Frenz, where he produced a range of mid-tempo, deeper sounds for many years. He is a very much in demand DJ on the underground scene in his hometown of Ufa, and we are delighted to have him on board at BP.
The Original Mix builds and builds into a highly charged, cosmic array of sound. Chunky beats and a strong, modulating bassline set the tone as an eclectic vocal takes charge to the backdrop of teasing 303 riffs. Space-age synths take the sound higher on the break before those charging bass stabs return for the duration. A solid, monster of a track that is not to be missed.
Doriaan aka DJ, producer Dorian Padilla returns to BP with a solid remix. Last time out we saw him over on our Green Martian imprint with Rosario, and before that, two superb cuts on BP. He still represents an emerging talent in the progressive house world. In 2015, he had his first official release under Mexican label Sky Records. After some other solid releases with Sky Records, he debuted on one of the most important labels in the Mexican scene, Jumpers Recordings, with Icing, a tune that received great response and started to catch more attention. It was actually featured on acclaimed Spotify playlist Trance Life created by the famous music curator Austin Kramer, Global Head Dance & Electronic Music at Spotify. Since then he has steadily built a hugely impressive back catalogue and it’s always a pleasure having him here with us. On the remix here, Doriaan takes us on a much deeper trek, sending out trippy vibes, cascading arps with delicate poise and that enchanting vocal. The understated drum track leaves room for the musical elements to shine alongside that vocal while retaining enough power command the floors. Enter the spacey synths and searing risers that lift the groove higher, making this one an absolute must have, no doubt.
