Thorin is back at Bonzai Progressive with the superb Let go which features his outstanding original as well as two quality remixes. It’s been a while since we’ve had a full release from this guy, he has provided solid remixes in the times since his last full cut – Secrets. Despite the hiatus he remains consistent in delivering top notch sounds, something we’ve become accustomed to from him. As ever we’re delighted to see him deliver the goods once again and we have no doubt we will be seeing much more.
The Original Mix opens with a solid, punchy kick drum and probing bass combo. Shuffling hi hats and sharp claps make up a cool rhythmic flow as pulsing synths fade in. Powerful stabs herald in a much deeper groove as the melodies line up in the background. On the break a magical sequence filled with alluring melodies takes over to dominate for the duration. A sublime slice which carries a beautiful progressive vibe.
Just a few months after his debut slice with Chameleon, Paul Hawcroft returns with a superb remix. UK based DJ and producer Paul has also signed tracks to FSOE Parallels, Lost Language, Discover, Mondo, Baroque Records and more. He has graced the decks at The Gallery, Ministry Of Sound, Sequence, Home, DancersHip and many more. In early 2017 he did a remix of For What You Dream Of by Bedrock which received DJ Support from Mark Knight, Danny Rampling, Matt Black, Neil Moore, Danny Slade and more. On the remix here, Paul hits us with a full-on progressive mover filled with fresh beats and a solid arrangement. The big focus is on the pulsating bassline which is joined by mesmerizing synths wrapped up in intricate patterns. A definite dancefloor destroyer that is not to be missed.
Russlan Jaafreh returns to BP with a solid remix that does not disappoint. Fresh from his last outing here with Pomegranate, Ruslan delivers a unique style to the progressive house sound. He has racked up a quite impressive back catalogue in just a few short years. His tracks have graced top labels such as Mistique Music, Mystic Carousel, BQ Recordings, Green Snake, Innertek Recordings and Deepsessions to name a few and have featured on many radio shows as well as being remixed by several top artists including Timewave, Yuriy From Russia, Experimental Feelings and Hady Tarek. Ruslan deliver a superb remix here, taking us deeper into the progressive abyss. Right from the intro, we’re captivated by the elegance of the sound and the mystical vibe. A nice and tight drum section leads the way as a subtle bassline probes through the sound. Rich pads rise and fall along with cascading arpeggios as an intensity builds. The break throws in some excellent 303 action which blends beautifully with the melodies. This one will definitely grab attention.
