Portuguese DJ and producer Mario Silva aka Eat Dust returns to Piston for his 8th outing with the superb two tracker – Underdog. Over the last number years this guy has released some excellent cuts on various labels including Obscura Recordings, Plastik Galaxy and Dubtek Records to name just a few. He has also shown up on Monog Records back in 2014 with Portrait Illusions and a remix on HedUbble’s Animal Feeling as well as an appearance on Tech House Toolbox 3 for Bonzai Progressive. On the DJ circuit Mario enjoys playing gigs all over Portugal, particularly in the underground scene. He is a constant presence at Ramboya parties and a member of the collective LIVE Lisbon. His tracks are championed by many jocks around the world which is a testament to his unique style.
Our next In The Mix session comes from the head honcho of Monog Records – Joal. Portuguese artist Joal is revered among his peers for attention to detail and quality sounds. He has shaped his style to offer rich dynamic sounds coupled with deep lush goodness. Over the last number of years he’s refined his live sets using numerous hardware synths and FX units while utilising everything that software has to offer. Here he digs deep into the Monog archives and labels such as Ballyhoo Records, Piston Recordings, Constant Circles, Kolour Recordings, Vakant, Planet Rhythm, Silver Network and Selador to give us two contrasting sets filled with a plethora of top cuts that will surely get the floors moving.
Luhk debuts on Piston Recordings with the excellent Borealis EP. Over the last few years this hugely talented artist has released some fine quality cuts on various labels with a great response from the floors and jocks. With a penchant for tech house you can be sure that this release will find its way into many sets.
Wild Dee and Driule XL debut on Piston Recordings with the fantastic tech house flavours of Detroit Toy EP. The guys have worked extensively together in the past and they seem to have the perfect relationship for creating special sounds. Darius Dumbliauskas aka Wild Dee is an upcoming producer and DJ from Lithuania. He found his passion for house music early on in his life and since 2012 he’s found himself DJing all over his home country. Music production is essential in his life which is why he enjoys playing around with many different genres. Driule XL aka Audrew Kolesnikov is inspired by the vitality of nightlife and his passion for music and he quickly immersed himself into the house scene of his adoptive city Vilnius. He has a bachelor’s degree in Arts & Cultural Management. In 2013 he won a Burn Residency Baltic’s competition which took him to Ibiza as part of the prize. His talent has rocketed him from small local venues to the biggest clubs in the Lithuania and Europe. Together they produce a radio show called Driule & The Gang which broadcasts every Friday evening on Power Hit Radio station. Their radio show is focused on fresh House, Tech-House and Techno music.

Portuguese outfit John Deluxe aka Joao Nina and Trippin Fox aka Andre Vieira debut on Piston with the superb Dubvious EP. Since 2016 these two have been churning out top quality vibes together on various labels. Sometimes they go solo but mostly stick together in the studio with outstanding results. The both enjoy DJing around their respective hometowns and further afield with their infectious brand of tech house grooves. Great to have them here and we hope to see more soon.

Italian trio Massi ISX, Rulers and Enrico Bellan debut on Piston Recordings with the superb two tracker entitled Love EP. Massi ISX is a much revered artist in his home country. He has played at many venues including Too Long, Barn Club, Barrakud, Clique Club and more. He has appeared on several quality labels and his music has been also supported by many famous artists such as Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Lee Foss, Stefano Noferini, Leon, Joey Daniel and many more. Rulers aka brothers Mattia and Andrea Orizio spent much of their younger years learning about music by listening to various genres and picking up musical knowledge. After joining forces in the studio they quickly saw releases on labels like Moan, D-Floor, Paul’s Boutique, No Excuse, Lemon-Aid Music and High Pressure with great support from around the world. DJ and producer Enrico Bellan started to produce music for some Spanish and European labels. Immediately his music was played and supported by the greatest DJs in the world including Marco Carola, Neverdogs, Stefano Noferini, Joseph Capriati, Joey Daniel and more. His works have appeared on the likes of Mushroom Smile Records, High Pressure Music, Azul Tunes, Cream Music Records, Lemon-Aid Music and Red Drum Music. A formidable group of quality artists no doubt and we’re delighted to have them here at Piston.
DJ and producer Marcelo De Almeida debuts on Piston Recordings with the superb Dub Motion EP which features three excellent cuts. Having spent his childhood in Canada listening to Hip Hop, he later moved to Portugal where he discovered a whole new world of music in the underground house music scene. After mastering the art mixing he turned his hand at music production and began to delve into deep and tech house. He is the label manager at Raw Level Records and over the years he has dished out a plethora of top notch grooves across several quality labels. We’re delighted to have him here at Piston and we hope to see more in the future.
House music aficionados Discult Soundsystem debut on Piston Recordings with the superb three tracker Onket EP. Known for their super cool parties, their Let’s Discult open air livestreams and groovy sets, we’re delighted to have this talented group on Piston. Onket settles into a deep tech house groove right from the off thanks to a solid drum arrangement and powerful chords. A wonderful bassline enters the fray as an intriguing spoken vocal delivers a narrative to create that deep groovy vibe. The drums and percussions make for a tight rhythmic display that will surely get the floors moving. As the groove powers on the chords become intensive as they get a more prominent stabby hit. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.
