Stanny Abram debuts on Bonzai Progressive while studio partner BILBONI returns on the impressive Mantra EP. Stanny’s passion for music evolved in mid-80’s listening to radio Luxemburg. Starting with two tape recorders his enthusiasm was immediately noticed and he was introduced to a fellow DJ, Amado Sallinas. They teamed up and started learning different techniques of mixing on record players. House and Acid House soon replaced Italo Disco which gained him a lot of air time in some of the hottest clubs in Slovenia. In the mid-90’s he teamed up with Ozzy Lee Tiger to found a project called the D-Team and create a handful of pretty successful Slo-Dance tracks amongst which a song called Frendy which performed very well in many charts. The late 90’s saw his career grow and he found himself playing at the best venues and releasing quality sounds. Bilboni aka Goran Bilbija returns after his 2017 debut Off Road EP. His early starts in the field were marked by attending and concluding a music school, where he learnt to play the accordion. As a teenager, his passion for music accelerated to the point where he would spend all his monthly pocket money on buying new records. Growing up, he started tasting the club life. Drawn by the electronic sounds, he would always be the last to go home. At that point he was inspired by the early Euro sounds such as LA Style, as well as EuroDance, Culture Beat, 2 Unlimited and Captain Jack to name a few. At the age of 20, he established a successful music duo 2 Alive and signed quite a few contracts with various record labels. Being fully committed to his fans, he is always open for new suggestions and critique.

Mantra opens with a nice chunky kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi. Cool percussions form up bringing a tight rhythmic flow before a superb, deep droning bassline bursts through to control the groove. The drums mesmerize as arpeggiated synths take on a 303 flavour. The track rolls along beautifully, hypnotizing us and forcing us to move to the floor. A real tough edged progressive groover that will not disappoint.

Desire intros with solid punchy kick drums and crisp hi hats alongside rhythmic percussions. A deep and groovy bassline gets the ass shakin’ as mesmerizing pads fill out the background. The break reveals whispered vocals that add great character to the sound. After the break we settle into a real chunky and moving progressive groove with that excellent vocal taking centre stage. A stomper for the floors that is not to be missed.
