We welcome Samwell aka Sam Felten back to Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic, Solid EP. This one follows his superb debut – Control, and will no doubt cause a stir on the floors. Luxembourg native Samwell started to DJ in 2019, playing around his hometown. During the 2020 lockdown, he took to producing his own music and has already secured releases since then. Great to see him back once again.

Solid opens the release, bringing Sam’s style to the fore with a superb construction. The groove fuses with your soul instantly as melodic arpeggios interspersed with bright plucks and a distinct chord progression which result in a lush, beautiful Balearic vibe that ebbs and flows effortlessly. Gritty elements come through in the build-up and on the break that White Isle groove really shines. Rounding out the release, we have the fantastic, Vaag, which intros with a smooth rhythmic flow and is soon beefed up with nice, punchy kicks and sleek gated synths. Bright melodic plucks inject stark contrasts as the synths charm their way into our hearts. A deep, droning bassline gels the track together, charging the groove for maximum impact on the floors.
