Samer Tinoco returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb, Damanhur which follows his last effort here, Horus EP. For Samer music is just a hobby, a form of personal expression. With 8 years’ experience as a producer, his style is based on the underground electronic scene in genres such as Techno and Progressive House, with tendencies to dark and progressive sounds. He has seen releases on labels such as Society Music Recordings (Italy) and Spring Tube (Latvia), reaching the top 5 on the label chart in Beatport, sharing with artists such as Hollen, Diction, Anthony Mea, Donatello, and Solid Stone. He also had a number 1 spot on popular label, Red Delicious Records (Mexico). Great to see him back once again.

First up is Damanhur, which etches out a solid slice of progressive house, free and flowing with a mesmeric quality. Nice, punchy kicks lead the way as delicate hats and detailed percussions craft a rhythmic flow. A haunting, Ethnic vocal runs through the groove, against a strong, plucky bassline and cosmic arpeggios. A top-notch cut that will not disappoint.

Xochitl sets a cosmic tone right from the off, thanks to a combination of swirling pads and cinematic FX. Powerful, punchy kicks drive the track alongside a tight, rhythmic percussion arrangement. Cascading, melodic arps mesmerize as a warm atmosphere descends on the groove. The break is emotive, locking us in before a rising pad swells up to crescendo and then back to full-on mode for the duration. Superb stuff.
