Ritz returns to Piston with another slice of solid house grooves in the form of the three tracker About Us EP. This cut follows his last outing – 1976 EP – which gained great support across the board. A relative newcomer on the scene Ricardo used to go by m0u53 and has seen several releases across various labels in the last couple of years. His Ritz moniker is dedicated to all things house. We know you’re gonna love this guys work, the attention to detail is stunning and the passion for house music shines through, enjoy.

First up we have About You which already saw a release on our 10 Years Of Piston towards the end of 2017. A captivating track thanks to the interesting narrative against the backdrop of a mesmerizing house groove. Tight drums deliver a solid rhythm as soft, deep chord pads fill the sound alongside cool FX and dreamy melodic flutters. A real nice, smooth groover that will not disappoint.

Home intros with cool long release chords which are soon joined by a pumping 909 kick and wide open hi hats for that classic feel. A deep and groovy bassline joins in giving the track its dance appeal as those chords continue to mesmerize. The bassline is layered up to deliver a beautifully arranged pattern that carries a solid groove making this an absolute must for the floors.

Monkeys delivers a sublime, hypnotic slice of house music thanks to a superbly crafted arrangement made up of tight beats and hypnotizing pads. Rhythmic percussions keep us moving as a deep, subtle bass shores up the low end. The pads hook you in before dissipating to reveal a myriad of melodic keys that take us deep into the groove. A late night groover that is not to be missed.
