B2brothers & PhilKB mark their Green Martian debut with the impressive Trip EP. These guys join forces once again and deliver two solid cuts for the floors. Carlo Gomes and Anthony Liuzzi make up B2brothers, they grew up together in Bari, Italy and they share a passion for music. They are resident jocks at Il Trappeto and have played alongside several top names including Riva Starr, Luca Agnelli, ItaloBros, The Martinez Brothers, Louie Vega, Dennis Ferrer and many others. In April 2017 they released their first track as B2brothers on My Choice Recordings which was quickly followed by a cut on Purple Sun Records. On 30th April 2017 they played at one of the best known festivals in the world, the SunBreak Malta Club MTV. PhilkB is a musician and composer who loves experimenting with new sounds and ways of making music. For many years he has devoted himself to the research and realization of personal projects and now he feels he has reached that place where he can integrate live elements with ambient and. His first few tracks have been with B2brothers and together they are proving themselves a powerful force with much more to come in the future.

First up is the eclectic Miracles with its deep thoughtful progressive grooves all wrapped up in a tight arrangement that will definitely grab attention on the floors. Chunky kick drums lead the way alongside intricate percussions that create a steady flowing rhythm. A superb deep rooted bassline keeps the groove in the depths while subtle melodic arps fade through. Cool vocals litter the sound generating an interesting narrative and giving the track an edge. Top notch stuff.

Nightmare opens with a surreal ambient sequence that is a colourful representation of a hybrid dream state, caught between the light and the dark. The opening sequence fades out to reveal an explosive kick and bass combi that will rattle the speakers for sure. Shuffling hi hats and tight drums deliver a smooth rhythmic flow as strange, eerie pads float over head. But the big hitter here is those kick drums and that solid, probing bass, not to be missed.
