Portuguese artist LUS debuts on Piston Recordings with the fantastic The Most Famous Classic EP. Since 2016 LUS has been churning out serious beats on various labels. Known for his deep house grooves, LUS is already a name synonymous with quality and we’ve no doubt this will continue for a long time. Delighted to have him at Piston.
The Most Famous Classic takes us down the rabbit hole of deep house thanks to some wonderfully crafted sounds and a dosing of ultra smooth groovy vibes. A solid drum arrangement keeps the track moving nicely as deep muddy basses lurk on the low end. Perfectly tweaked chords blend effortlessly into the sound alongside cool vocals and on the break that applauding audience fits brilliantly into the groove. Lots of funky elements fill the track making this an absolute must have for the late night session.
It’s The Kiss intros with a tight punchy kick drum and surreal pads before shuffling hi hats give the rhythm a boost. A superb bassline mesmerizes as it cascades up and down the notes alongside a deeper, reverberating bass on the low end. A short break reveals a fantastic indie style vocal before the kicks return. Softer, more melodic keys break out of the murk before dissipating to let a wonderful analogue style bass take control. Brilliant stuff that will not disappoint.
