Florence based DJ and producer Klaus Keller debuts on Piston recordings with the superb two tracker, The Beat Don’t Stop. Klaus started producing music at 14, just for passion, but he was always trying to improve and refine his style which, got him noticed some years later. He has released his work on various outlets including Something Different, Moustache Label and Different Attitudes. Klaus likes to deliver a hybrid sound from the worlds of digital and analogue, and this is what we are treated to on this one.
Straight up tech house stomper The Beat Don’t Stop delivers the goods that will get the floors pumping no doubt. The intro is made up of a punchy kick drum and crispy hi hat with a cool spoke vocal that gives a nice clubby vibe. Scathing synths twist and morph as percussions force you to move. A super tight arrangement with a very simple structure that will give any party a boost.
Fuck What You Thinkin grabs your attention right from the get go as a chunky kick drum is matched with a muffled acid lick that fades slowly in, teasing as it goes. Meanwhile an array of sharp, snappy percussions are forming up creating a solid rhythmic flow. The acid line takes centre stage as the filters open up alongside a cool spoken vocal. A superbly crafted nod to the hey days of acid wrapped up in a contemporary package that will delight many for sure.
