Fresh off the back of his stunning remix on Crocy featuring Ashley Berndt – Passion, Jacob Singer returns to Bonzai Progressive with the equally stunning Tayos Vaes EP. Madrid based artist Jesus Gonzalez aka Jacob Singer started out in music playing the guitar and was heavily influenced by rock and metal bands for many years. After he discovered electronic music however, he soon realised that this is where his passion lay. Now a veteran on the progressive scene he has churned out many noteworthy releases on various labels including his Briah EP on Green Martian which followed several other cuts on Bonzai Progressive. Always a pleasure to have him deliver the good here at BP.

Tayos Caves comes in with a deep and deliberate intention to take us into the lower realms of progressive house. Distinctive synth stabs and dark electronic arpeggios add a truly dynamic flavour to the sound while mesmeric pads offer that captivating touch. Eerie melodies litter the groove and blend effortlessly within the spectrum. Tight beats ensure maximum floor potential and make this a definite must have for the late night session.

Pleyades is a darkly driven monster of a track. We’re treated to some gnarly sounds placed perfectly in the arrangement creating a wide, cinematic style piece. Thumping kick drums and bright crispy hi hats are joined by rhythmic percussions that get the feet tapping while deep rooted basses invoke a dancing fever. A series of hypnotic arpeggios take turns at digging deep into our souls, taking us deeper and deeper into the progressive abyss. The break teases us with a hypnotic narrative before we’re plunged right back into full on mode. An absolute stomper that will not disappoint.
