Spectra EP

Bonzai Progressive BP8412019 22 April, 2019

Transient Motion aka Liverpool, UK based artist James Webb marks his Bonzai Progressive debut with the energetic Spectra EP. James is a lover of many different genres of music, his influences range from Rock and Indie to Trance, Techno, Hip Hop, Drum n Bass and Classical. He uses these influences to carve out his own unique sound, weaving different styles into a blend of uplifting progressive based tech and trance. He had his first release in 2017 which gained great support. An up and comer with a lot to offer and definitely one to watch.

Spectra delivers a vibrant, upbeat slice of progressive house that will definitely find its way into many sets as the perfect transitioning tool. Powerful chunky beats are joined by equally powerful bass plucks layered with rich synth stabs. Bright, melodic pianos add contrast and a somewhat calmer reflection amidst the energetic groove. A must have, no doubt.

Nuclear takes us right to the edge with a blisteringly energetic slab of upfront grooves. A thumping kick drum and shuffling percussion arrangement is joined by a double time bassline that rattles through the groove causing mayhem and raising the energy levels to soaring heights. Cool vocals and retro style synths fill out the spectrum as a teasing 303 lead rises up. The break offers little respite as we are treated to nice melodies and a euphoric build-up before the chaos resumes for the duration. Top notch banging stuff that will not disappoint.
