Shiny Coral Reefs

Tel Aviv based DJ and producer Matan Caspi remains a firm favourite at Bonzai Progressive and here we have his latest slice entitled Shiny Coral Reefs. Matan is undoubtedly one of the most productive electronic music producers under the spotlight. He has been constantly developing his music productions and his work has been internationally exposed and played by many artists and top DJis around the globe. As well as producing he is running the label Outta Limits together with his good friend and production partner Stan Kolev, busy with touring and concentrating on his future productions, where you will find original, raw and innovative material. He continues to dish out quality vibes on various labels and there can be no doubt that his music will be loudly heard on the most popular dance floors around the world.

Matan takes us on a magical, sublime journey through progressive house on the Original Mix. Right from the off you get locked into the groove, with its soft alluring sounds. A tight drum section leads the way and sits over a deep, lush bassline which provides a lot of warmth in the track. Subtle melodies contrast beautifully with the deeper elements and on the break the sweeter sounds dominate. A top notch slice once again from this guy, not to be missed.

Alex Vidal is back at Bonzai Progressive with another one of his superb remixes. Fresh off the back of his last cut – Epiphany – you can be sure that the floors are gonna get rocked. The remix here intros with a smooth, flowing arrangement made up of nice chunky kick drums and rhythmic percussions. Distant synths add mystery to the sound while a fantastic, deep seated bassline powers the groove. Swirling pads create a surreal atmosphere and are joined by pitching soft synths and contrasting harsher sounds. Another superb effort that will not disappoint.

Doriaan returns to Bonzai Progressive with a brilliant remix which comes fresh on the heels of his latest original – Perte EP. Doriaan represents an emerging talent in the progressive house world and we’ve no doubt we’ll be seeing a lot more from this guy in the future. Here the remix intros with a very nice kick drum and crispy hi hat combi which is soon joined by shuffling percussions that get the rhythm moving. Deep droning bass are matched with melodic synths creating a wonderfully contrasting groove. Delicate arpeggios fade in while beautiful vocals add a euphoric touch. The synth play is outstanding here, various layers blend effortlessly, giving us that solid progressive groove. A definite must have.
