Revival

Bonzai Progressive BP4512015 25 May, 2015

Tribal Warriors aka M.I.K.E. Push returns to Bonzai Progressive with the two track tech fest, Revival. Last time out, at the start of 2015, we saw Defiance gain a lot of support from all quarters. Since then, as you would imagine, M.I.K.E. Push continues on his relentless musical journey filled with worldwide DJ appearances and a ton of studio work. His Club Elite Sessions is going strong with a huge fan base and top DJ guests making regular appearances. Always worth keeping an eye on this guy, he never disappoints.

Revival intros with a very cool techy vibe as punchy kicks are joined by razor sharp closed hats and snappy claps. Warm, rounded analogue basses accompanied by brighter synths cascade downwards and deliver a real smooth groove before a gritty sub bass bursts through. Sweeping pads make an appearance and bring a cool contrasting flavour and textured layer. After a short break filled with an array of shuffling hats we are treated to a sublime filtered arp that captivates as it weaves its way through the sound. A brilliant display of progressive house with a fusion of tech, superb stuff.

Alpha Beta sets off with an in your face pounding chunky kick and harsh hats that slice through the sound to the backdrop of cool noise effects. A warm and full bassline fades through and really gets the groove moving with a little help from some organic sounds and cool techno induced blips. The track goes through a series of peaks and troughs as the layers build resulting in some intense climactic sequences. Definitely one for the bouncier floors here and a must have track in your collection.
