Pieces Of A Dream

Bonzai Progressive BP3992014 13 October, 2014

Spanish DJ and producer Alex Vidal returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Pieces Of A Dream which comes with two fantastic remixes courtesy of DJ Fire and Blufeld. Alex always dishes out quality cuts as proved on his last outing Solar Citadel which was very well received among many.

The Original Mix sets a cool progressive mood with a nice mellow intro filled with wispy sounds and distant percussions. The drum section fades up to reveal a monster kick that just hits you right in the chest as it pounds out its groove. A truly deep progressive bassline ensues and drives the track beautifully as the crispy percussions keep the rhythm flowing. Cool synth stabs and brighter melodic flavours give a nice contrast as we are drawn into this hypnotising world. A top notch cut yet again which will be a big hitter in any set.

DJ Fire is up first to remix duty and yet again we see his skills shine beautifully. Jurgen has recently been enjoying much attention for his works with lots of features on top sites for Without Roots and his most recent track Kleine Nyo. The remix intros with a firm kick that packs a phat punch, this is joined by some very nice crispy, snappy percussions which build a solid rhythmic base. Very cool synth stabs lurk in the background as the mid section reveals some smooth riffs that have a hint of acidic flavour. Up front a monster bass dominates the groove and sits perfectly in the sound drawing you in completely. The track takes us on a truly sublime journey which you will definitely not want to miss.

Fresh off the back of his last track Threlkeld, Blufeld is up next on the remix with his superb effort. Some big news on the way from Blufeld with the hope of a new album imminent which we are excited about and cannot wait to hear. The remix intros with some rising percussions that lead to a huge chunky kick and droning bass combi that will get the floors pumping for sure. Warm sweeping pads begin to wash over the track beautifully before a sharp melodic synth comes into play. On the break the melodies take over and steer the track in a euphoric detour before slamming right back into the full on progressive monster that it is, an absolute stomper from Blufeld.
