Just Let Go

Bonzai Progressive BP3552014 5 May, 2014

Matan Caspi delivers his stunning ‘Just Let Go’ which is backed up with three superb remixes from Audio Noir, Mindgamers and deepAlexander. Matin’s last outing was at the start of 2014 with the wonderful ‘I Wanna’ which saw a lot of support from all over.

First up we have the Original Mix which intros with super crispy hats that gets right up in your face as a nice chunky kick leads into a deep lush bass that comes through to balance things out beautifully. Cool vocal samples dash in and out of the sound adding a nice flow to the vibe. On the break a smooth synth arrangement takes over adding a hint of melody that gives off a contrasting groove, top notch from Matin yet again.

Tallinn based DJing and production duo Mindgamers are first up on remix duty. The guys have been enjoying a lot of attention for their works as their own productions as well as remixes are being picked up all over the world and featuring heavily in many sets and radioshows. Here the guys do what they do best, rock the joint! Right from the off the grooves are infectious, thumpy kicks and a sharp hi hat sequence are the perfect combination. The vocal samples off the original are used well and that bass just teases and teases. Stabby synths bring in a cool vibe and on the break we see these take full control before slamming right back into the main track to continue on this epic progressive house ride!

Audio Noir is up next and yet again he does not disappoint. His remix, Another Audio Noir Trip, is quite simply stunning. He has a way of taking a track and transforming it into something fresh and different while keeping true to the original. Nice whispered vocal on the intro which leads into a cool kick and a sublime percussion arrangement with some fantastic vocal samples over the top. The groove builds and builds before exploding into an analog fuelled, bass driven monster. Quite an energetic vibe off this as the layers build around the track culminating with a superb vibrant synth. Brilliant stuff out of Australia and not to be missed!

deepAlexander aka Sasa Skrobar rounds up the remixes with his stunning take. Sasa’s last release ‘Midnight Launch’ was well received and is a testament to the skills on offer. Big chunky kicks get us going with expertly tweaked vocal samples and fading synths sitting in the background. A cool rhythmic groove is built with the introduction of some great percussion patterns. The track takes a funky turn as a deep throbbing bass is brought forward together with a catchy, soulful vocal. The track is totally driven by that classy bass which has so much character as it binds the track together beautifully. Top stuff and a track you will want in your collection!
