I Don’t Remember My Synth

Piston Recordings PR2015141 5 January, 2015

Ivan returns to Piston with I Don’t Remember My Synth which is the eagerly awaited follow-up to Don’t Stop The Groove Man back in March 2014. We have no doubt that this two tracker will garner lots of support as his previous outings have.

I Don’t Remember My Synth intros with a cool kick and an ever increasing array of percussions that really set the rhythm loose. Smooth house chords bring a classy vibe to the sound as they swirl around with a warm clarity. Vocal samples are the perfect addition as they bring a lot of character and add cool textures. The big draw here has gotta be that bassline, it just dances through the sound beautifully, picking you up and carrying you along its groovy journey. As the track meanders along the layers continue to build on the deep house grooves, bright strings and synth hits create a fantastic myriad of sound making this a track not to be missed.

Deep Penetration is up next and brings a very cool percussion arrangement alongside soft keys and a harsh bass pluck that gives some very cool contrasts. A big heavy hitting chunky kick soon follows and we are set into a brilliant groovy workout. A deep sub bass is on hand to accompany those bass plucks and does a great job shoring up the groove. Vocal samples litter the sound as big synths fade into the background. The break reveals cool melodies that are borne out of a stark, raw analogue styled synth which blends so beautifully into the sound. A deep and penetrating track that will turn a few heads for sure.
