Gray Squirrel EP

One of Piston’s longer standing contributors Marco Madia returns with another deep house slice entitled Gray Squirrel that will keep the floors moving no doubt. This one marks his ninth outing as well as appearances on several compilations over the years. We’re always excited when his latest offerings drop into the mailbox and already we can’t wait for his next one, for now though, get down and dirty with these deep and groovy movers.

Eastern Gray intros with a cool funky groove that will surely get bootys to the floor in just a few bars. Tight beats form up to deliver a nice flowing rhythmic slice while the retro charged funky guitars and groovy basslines keep us locked in for the duration. The track is layered beautifully with a solid deep house vibe that will quickly become a firm favourite among many, definitely one to watch.

Western Gray sets out with a superb guitar riff which is joined by a tight drum section. A nice and tight rhythm ensues that will keep the floors busy while groovy country style licks and a probing bassline will keep the asses shaking. The break throws in some hypnotic pads that lock us in for the ride, a must have no doubt.
