Eternally – Manu Riga Dark Tech Mix

Bonzai Progressive BP6842017 4 September, 2017

One of Bonzai’s most prolific artists gets to grips with one of Bonzai’s most famous cuts. Manu Riga takes on Eternally by Quadran, a track that spawned the pioneering Bonzai Trance Progressive label back in 1996. Our 25 years celebrations just wouldn’t be the same without including Quadran, at the time made up by the formidable duo of Philippe Toutlemonde and Philippe Van Mullem – who sadly passed away in 2015 and who is dearly missed by many around the world. These guys had worked on numerous projects together over the years and Quadran was certainly the most popular. A string of hits in the mid to late nineties piqued the interest of many true progressive fans and after a short period of inactivity Philippe Van Mullem brought the Quadran sound into the new millennium to the delight of many. Manu Riga is undoubtedly one of Bonzai Progressive’s hardest working artists with a raft of originals and even more remixes that could easily fill a whole set all night long. His sound has touched many and he shows excellence in everything he touches. Recently he has tweaked his style to be slightly darker, with a touch of tech which shines through in this remix. Get on this one, it will blow the roof no doubt and keep an ear out for more special remixes in the months ahead.

The remix intros with a wonderful punchy kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi that builds the track nicely into a progressive fuelled monster. A deep rumbling bassline lurks on the low end adding depth while classic chord stabs fade in to the backdrop of that infectious vocal. Mesmerizing arpeggios take control of the groove on the first break, locking us in for the duration. The main break unleashes a maelstrom of sound that blends effortlessly before that drums kick back into full on mode. A fantastic rhythmically charged groove that will not disappoint.
