Night Shift Master aka Vlad Medvedev returns to our Green Martian imprint with the infectious Endless Universe which features two quality remixes from Krishna M Prabawa. Vlad was born in Ukraine in 1982, and started to study in a music school when he was 6 years old. After completing his studies at the music school (focusing on Violin and Piano), he graduated from the music academy of his home town, when he was 16. Later on he moved to Israel, and continued his music studies by taking classes at BPM, Tel Aviv’s most famous academy for music production. While getting his B.A degree in audio technology and sound engineering, he produced music in the styles of Deep House, Tech House, Progressive House, Progressive Trance. He has also been composing music for movies, commercials, performs as a DJ and participates in many other music projects. During his DJ sets, he incorporates performance that are special and unique.
The Original Mix is up first and delivers a real nice and smooth progressive Summer vibe. Punchy kick drums and crispy hi hats lead the way as a deep droning bass shores up the low end. Bright synth plucks fade in creating a cool contrast with the lower frequencies while gated synths rise up in the background. The break reveals a hypnotic vocal that forms a solid climax before the beats return for the duration. Top notch stuff.
Krishna M Prabawa gives us two fantastic remixes on this one, the first being under his Chris.M guise. Fresh off the back of his Segara EP, this guy certainly knows how to work a progressive groove. He’s been around the Bonzai stable for a number of years now and has remained consistent with top notch sounds at every turn. Here he gives us yet another memorable progressive groover with a beautifully refreshing vibe. Tight drums deliver a solid rhythmic flow as a bubbling bassline dominates and drives the groove. Cool voices add texture alongside expertly crafted synths before the mysterious main vocal comes through. The break dishes out cascading arpeggios that contrast with the droning bass that take us to the climax and back to full on mode. Superb yet again.
Krishna’s next remix is under his newly formed Jumpers_27 moniker with the sublime Summer Mix. Jumpers_27 first outing Feel You EP, gained great support with its lush melodic prog vibes which is a testament to this guys talents. No doubt we’ll be seeing much more from this very exciting project in the future. The mix intros with a solid drum arrangement already formed, this drives the track with a powerful groove. Straight away you find yourself locked in to the fantastic progressive vibe thanks to a wonderful bassline that dances effortlessly through the sound. Cool FX and subtle synths add intrigue as the vocal comes in. The break takes us deeper with a phat bass drone alongside the vocals and a striking melody. Brilliant stuff that is not to be missed.
