Charles D debuts with the fantastic Deepen The Noise which features the deep vocal talents of John Soul. Charles D returns to music production after a bit of a hiatus. He had a few releases back in 2014 – 2015 which garnered great support among many. He is joined by John Soul, a vocal artist who enjoys a dedicated fan base and a raft of quality songs that impress greatly. Nice to have both guys on board.
The Original sets out with a nice chunky drum section that will get the feet tapping towards the floor for sure. The track oozes raw energy and power thanks to its murky nature and muddy bass tones. The tight arrangement locks you in for the duration and soft sirens mesmerize leading us up to the raspy vocal that captivates. We’re reminded of a pure progressive house groove here. A definite monster tune that will not disappoint.
Bilboni aka Slovene musician Goran Bilbija returns to Bonzai Progressive on remix duties. This one follows his debut here with Off Road EP at the end of 2017 and will no doubt offer an equally impressive listen. Goran’s early starts in the field were marked by attending and concluding a music school, where he learnt to play the accordion. As a teenager, his passion for music accelerated to the point where he would spend all his monthly pocket money on borrowing/buying new records. Growing up, he started tasting the club life. At the age of 20, he established a successful music duo 2 Alive and signed quite a few contracts with various record labels. Here on the remix we are treated to a super fine tech house rendition filled with crispy hats and thumping beats. A deep underlying bassline shores up the low end as various FX layer up. The break reveals the cool vocal and subtle sirens which add depth and character to the sound. A must have for sure.
Greg S is up next on remix duties, fresh off the back of signing a new artist contract with Bonzai Progressive, we’re delighted to have him fully on board. This one follows his debut here from the end of 2017 called Go Away and will no doubt deliver the same dynamic charge. Greg S began his love affair with electronic music in the 90’s. As a 16 year old boy he discovered the club-scene and regularly attended Boccaccio, Cirao, Balmoral, Extreme and more. Top Tien in Dendermonde gave him his first shot behind the decks and he proved himself to be a DJ of a high calibre, since then things moved really fast and after becoming the resident DJ at Top Tien he started to get the opportunities to play at some of Belgium’s top establishments as well as other notable venues across Europe. Greg S. sets us up on a course where we will enjoy a fine progressive groove. Right from the off we’re locked in as punchy kick drums are matched with shuffling percussions and a warm lingering bassline. A short break introduces subtle melodies and a robotic themed vocal before we head back to the main groove. Short sharp synths cut through the lower frequencies, creating a contrasting groove that is sure to light up the floors.
