Dangerous Change

Bonzai Progressive BP3772014 11 August, 2014

Matan’s newest release Dangerous Change features the vocal talents of Mykle Anthony and comes backed up with two stunning remixes. His last outing Just Let Go featured heavily on download portals and playlists alike and no doubt we are in for a real treat with this latest offering.

The Original Mix gets us going in a full on progressive flow as the intro eases in with cool kicks and sweeping pads. The kicks gets buffed up with a punch and is joined by a deep bubbling bass giving a dancey vibe to the sound. The vocals begin to filter through with little one shots that set the scene for Mykle to showcase his wonderful talent. Deep and thoughtful lyrics are the perfect companion to this sound and are further enhanced with a brilliant melodic sequence on the break. Floorfilling stuff yet again from Matan and not to be missed.

Nico Parisi gives us his Deep Sofa Remix and delivers an absolute stunner. Nico has recently released a few gems that have gotten huge support from many quarters and currently has plenty more in the works. He is a constant presence at big events around Belgium and will feature on Bonzai’s stage at Tomorrowland 2014. The remix intros with a nice chunky kick and a round of soulful vocal shots that set the pace brilliantly. The bass sits back while packing a punch alongside some cool synths and a gritty riff that sweeps by. The track mesmerizes as it takes us to the break where the vocal comes to the fore and the synths become more prominent before settling back into this deep and lush progressive groove. Great stuff.

Davide Catania turns up at the remix desk with his pumping take on the original. We last saw Davide on his Desert Sky release on Green Martian and more recently on AnLight’s track No Advance. Here Davide raises the bar as he gets right into a full on progressive stomper. Phat kicks and cool percussions are laden with subtle downward arps as a swirling synth pad fades through with the amazing vocal on top. The bassline soon takes control as it powers through the sound beautifully giving off that strong prog vibe we love. The vocals are just stunning and blend seamlessly alongside the piano riffs. The break offers up a cool sax riff that really sets the track off and works so well with the piano and vocal. One to watch here and will no doubt be the choice of many.
