Cosmic Waves EP

Ivo C is back at Piston with another corker of an EP entitled Cosmic Waves. His last outing here – It’s Time EP, performed very well indeed and we’ve no doubt this follow up will be just as infectious. Ivo has been releasing quality content since 2013 and his work has appeared on the likes of Deepmentality Records, Club Rayo Disquets, Kermesse Music, Votan Records and more. He puts in a lot of time DJing at various events around his hometown and beyond and his sets are renowned for pumping the crowd with energy and dynamic mixing.

Cosmic Waves comes to life with a punchy kick drum a stuttering hat combi while space like FX flow through the sound. A superb dancey bassline comes through alongside rhythmic percussions, the perfect combination to get asses on the floors shakin. Warm chords fade up adding mystique to the groove and creating an infectious atmosphere. A top notch slice that will be a welcome addition in any set.

Unknown Planet takes us deep into tech house right from the off. Pumping kicks and slicing hi hats lead the way as a deep rooted bassline digs into your soul. A layered bass fades in alongside shuffling percussions, generating a mesmeric rhythm while mysterious pads fill out the background. Subtle synth plucks add intrigue, loosening up the deeper flow but keeping us firmly locked in the groove. Fantastic stuff that is not to be missed.
