Russian producer Reflection Soul aka Robert Besmaternykh delivers another fine progressive house cut for Green Martian with this two tracker entitled Colours. His last outing April (Dreams) back in the Summer had made a great impact with support coming in from many quarters. Much more to come from this guy and worth keeping an eye on.
Colours intros with a smooth rhythmic drum arrangement as punchy kicks are joined by sharp percussions that really get the track on the move. Offset vocal samples crash into the sound alongside a pulsing pad that just sits perfectly at the back. The big hitter here is that bassline with its deep throbbing grooves that fill the sound beautifully. Melodic synths take over bringing a wonderful house vibe to the track. The break lets loose on the melodies as they converge into wall of sound that is broken by the warm tones on the bass. A very cool driving groove that will get featured on many sets no doubt.
Leak intros with a mish mash of percussions that form up brilliantly into a cool rhythmic flow. Snappy kicks punch through and are joined by a beautiful rising pad that brings subtle melodic flavours along for the ride. The percussions steadily build and culminate in a furious arrangement that binds the track together brilliantly. The bassline sits back and delivers it subtle tones to great effect allowing the brighter elements to dominate. The break unleashes the full wrath of melodies this track has to offer in a euphoric sequence filled with lots of sounds and a hair raising vocal sample. A wonderful display of melodic house that will turn a few heads on the dancefloor.
