Bozza Grezza EP

Debut appearance on Piston for this trio of artists with the superb two tracker entitles Bozza Grezza EP. Qubiko is made up by DJ and producer duo Giuseppe and Andrea who got together in 2010 in an unlikely partnership. Since then they have racked up residencies in the likes of K.Lab and Monica as well as a vast array of releases on many labels including multiple remixes. These guys continue to make waves in the House scene and are definitely ones to watch. Fabio is an Italian DJ and producer who started out as a drummer and at the age of 23 he ventured into the DJing world securing residencies at many top venues. He has worked with a host of artists over the years and has a longstanding connection with Qubiko having collaborated with them over the years. A fine addition to the Piston stable, we hope to see more from these guys in the future.

Bozza Grezza gets right into a deep and dirty groove from the off with a cool, crispy hat and chunky kick combo alongside a tight percussion section. We get drawn into the rhythmic nature of the track as the expertly crafted drums become a big feature providing the groove beautifully. Brilliantly effected vocals come through and bring striking textures to the sound in their various forms. Superb stuff that will get any dancefloor rocking with its bouncy beats.

Inside intros with a high pitched string, muted kicks and an inviting open hat which leads up to a strong punchy kick that takes over beautifully. A big, brash dirty bassline soon enters the fray with its menacing groove that will get the booty shakin no doubt. Superbly tweaked vocals litter the sound throughout and give the track its character as late night grooving monster. Perfect fodder for the late night sessions, not to be missed.
