UK based DJ and producer joins us at Bonzai Progressive with the superb Chameleon which is backed up with two solid remixes from Matt Black and Kiz Pattison. Paul has also signed tracks to FSOE Parallels, Lost Language, Discover, Mondo, Baroque Records and more. He has graced the decks at The Gallery, Ministry Of Sound, Sequence, Home, DancersHip and many more. In early 2017 he did a remix of For What You Dream Of by Bedrock which received DJ Support from Mark Knight, Danny Rampling, Matt Black, Neil Moore, Danny Slade and more. His tracks enjoy great support from many top artists and we’ve no doubt this one will follow suit.
The Original intros with a classic pumping kick drum and crispy hi hat combi. Various percussions layer up to create a tight drum arrangement that gets into a smooth rhythmic flow. A probing bassline takes over as we head into full on mode. The track builds and builds culminating in a powerful progressive mover complete with short stabby synth sequences and droning basses. A superb slice that is not to be missed.
Matt Black is up first on remix duties and delivers a sublime interpretation that will get the floors rocking for sure. Matt has been making music since the mid 90’s but it was when he started Segment records in 2003 that his work really began to get noticed. Since quitting the label in 2014 Matt has gone on to have tracks signed to labels such as Stripped digital, Mirabilis and Pro-B-Tech and has had remixes on labels such as Crop Circle, Emotional Content and 3rd Avenue. In 2017 he became more noticed after his excellent remix of the mighty The First Rebirth. Nice to have him back once again. Here on the remix Matt takes us on a sublime progressive journey which gets going right from the off. Punchy kicks are joined by that infectious bassline and a shuffling percussion arrangement. The track layers up nicely and a melodic synth line takes the groove to the next level alongside mesmerizing pads. A definite contender for the peak time slot.
Kiz Pattison is back for more at BP with his Dark Secret Remix. This one follows his double remix on Zed White’s Crazy Diamonds from the Summer of 2017 and is set to be just as impressive. Based in Birmingham, UK, he grew up listening to and being influenced by artists from the late 90’s right up to the present day. These influences can be heard in his unique crossover style productions. He originally got into music production through DJing when he found certain tracks didn’t quite have the right feel, so he began editing tracks to suit his style. He soon moved to original music production which was just a natural progression and now he boasts a rapidly expanding discography with releases on several labels. Kiz takes us super deep on the remix here, delivering a sublime cut full of dark elements with a sinister edge. A tight drum arrangement leads the way while deep rumbling basses dominate the low end. We’re drawn into the groove and locked on for the duration. This one is definitely not to be missed.
