Nico Parisi is back in fine form, with the fantastic, Prego. This one follows his stellar remix alongside Monotique for AudioStorm’s Rhetoric Monster. A stalwart on the scene, and for us, over the years, Nico continues to produce the goods both in the studio and behind the decks. It all started with a DJ gig at the infamous Atmoz club, from there he enjoyed success playing at Belgium’s top venues as well as travelling the world. He has also brought his skills to many festivals with regular appearances including Bonzai Retro, Legacy Festival, Tomorrowland, Pukkelpop and a host of other notable events. His foray into the production world started with a demo he sent to Antler Subway which was met with success when he saw his tracks championed across the world by the likes of Tiesto, Oakenfold, Cox, Van Buuren and many more. After a period of time with EMI he signed an exclusive contract with the legendary Bonzai Progressive where his brand of smooth, deep, progressive vibes would shine. Nico now boasts a hugely impressive catalogue of original works and remixes which continues to grow with every expertly crafted construction.

The Original Mix intros with bright plucky synths set against shuffling hats, chunky beats and a mesmerizing double-time bassline. Various synths weave delicate patterns, forming a cosmic vibe while on the break, those infectious synths open up, creating a dynamic, kaleidoscope of sound. The main groove comes back with a thump, to take us deeper into this wonderful, rich tapestry of vivid colours. Very nice, not to be missed.

Ewan Rill is up first on the remix, taking us into his murky progressive world with a fine interpretation. A very much respected artist on the scene, Ewan never disappoints in his output. Here, he adds an extra layer of depth, thanks to lush basses and some solid exotic drums, deep plucky basses and hypnotic arpeggios.

Alberto Santana is next to take on remix duties. Fresh off the back of his debut, Jupiter Ascending on Bonzai progressive, we’re treated to fine display of how he works his magical sound. Filled with space-age vibes and a rich mesmeric groove, bright melodic pluck escape from the darker elements, adding emotion and intrigue. A superb effort, not to be missed.

John Dare returns, following on from his Universo EP with a tight, energetic remix. Here, John adds a monster element, taking the sound to a bigger stage and injecting energy and drive, thanks to that powerful bassline and cosmically charged pads and gritty synths. A peak time mover, no doubt.

Nacres is back, stamping his mark with a top-notch remix. In his own unique style, he delivers another captivating, and charming progressive slice for our listening pleasure. Driven by tight beats, the groove is mystical and deep, with strong, rumbling basses contrasting with enchanting pads and melodic flurries. A beautiful cut, and a must have.
