NAPALM & D-PHRAG – TOUR DE FORCE (BONZAI PROGRESSIVE)

Napalm aka Hungarian producer Nanai PalIt and D-Phrag aka Bulgarian DJ Ivan Filipov return to Bonzai Progressive with their latest offering ‘Tour De Force’ and comes backed up with two top notch remixes. The guys’ last outing was ‘Boiling Point’ which was very well received from all quarters.

The Original Mix intros strongly with nice chunky kicks and a soft hat combination. Deep droning basses rise from below giving an air of intensity to the sound which is further enhanced by fading synths and brilliant ethnically charged instruments. Dark grooves are formed from these sounds and culminate in serious progressive workout which is perfect fodder for those darker edged sets, brilliant!

The long serving Bonzai family member Manu Riga is up on remix duty with a wonderfully constructed cut. Manu remains a busy guy in the studio with lots of work on the go including his own material as well as a raft of future remixes which we are excited to see. Here he takes the track on its journey through the darker recesses of progressive house. Powerful basses attract a lot of attention here and are given stark contrasts with lush pads that linger far behind. A very cool ethnic vibe rings through the sound and is further enhanced by a superb vocal sample which is the perfect addition to the sound. Big strong grooves from Manu yet again and a must for any box.

The very popular Yuriy From Russia is next on the remix. Yuriy has been churning out top quality vibes for quite a while now and always adds his unique progressive twist to everything he touches. The remix intros with nice phat kicks which sets the scene for a deep, dark ride through the prog house spectrum. Lush pads are on offer and add a certain depth to the sound which works in harmony with the resonating bass. The break settles into a very smooth sequence before a rising effect takes us back to the full on prog grooves, stunning stuff from Yuriy and not to be missed.
