Piston firm favourite Marco Madia returns with his eighth production for us in the form of the fantastic Lemurs EP. One thing you will notice about all of his productions is the attention to the detail, ensuring a quality sound with every release. Marco has been in and around the underground scene for a number of years. In 2006 he moved to Berlin where he got a degree in audio engineering and soon started work as a sound designer. He also produces under the pseudonym Flip Morton and his experience has led to working on film soundtracks and exhibitions. His last outing – Toucan EP – proved popular and no doubt we’ll see more of the same here.

Sifaka sets out with the sole purpose of wrapping us up in a warm deep and sultry house groove. This is achieved right from the first few bars as a mesmerizing and rich synth chord meanders between a tight drum section. A deep droning bassline sits perfectly on the bottom end while a funky guitar lick fades in. Beautifully simplistic in its nature which delivers maximum deep house flavour, a must have for sure.

Indri gets right down to business with an intro filled with sweeping pads and a bassline that bubbles up from the depths. A tight drum section of chunky kicks and rhythmic percussions leads the way and forces us to the floor. Brilliantly crafted synths create a rich tapestry of colourful sound that hypnotizes the mind in true deep house style. Top notch stuff that is not to be missed.
