MANU RIGA – THE DARKNESS WITHIN (BONZAI PROGRESSIVE)

Manu Riga aka Adriaan Baussens impresses yet again with another fine cut on our main label. “The Darkness Within” comes with two high quality remixes for your pleasure.

The original mix kicks off with a dark edged vibe and builds with some quality arrangements, a haunting female vocal adds intensity while the bass teases. A solid groove ensues and tight patterns keep the flow. Awesome sounds on the break come together and the strings used round up a true progressive monster, top stuff!

Airwave has been his usual busy self with a stunning take on the original track, the intensity of this track is manifested with a crop of quality progressive sounds. Beautiful melodic sequences take the edge off the darker side and you find yourself lost in this sublime world, the vocal comes through brilliantly on the break with a build up to euphoric heights, once again the master delivers a strong favourite for the masses.

Frangellico aka Julian Farina Balbi hails from Argentina and is a main feature with the progressive label Sudam, he is also attached to many of the label nights hosted across South America. An impressive resume follows him with many releases since 2005. Here we see his debut remix on Bonzai with a deep dark progressive groove, strong and solid sounds with an ethnic vocal and dark melodies are a testament to the influences in his work. This will be on a lot of playlists all over.

The next remix comes from Italian duo Andrea Del Grosso and Antonio Castaldi aka AquAdro. The guys first got together in 2007 and formed their dark progressive house project and have since released top quality production on many labels, this remix marks their debut appearance with Bonzai and they have certainly delivered the goods in style. The track kicks off with a wonderful ethnic styled vocal that sits perfectly over the deep dark groove made up of a superb bassline and tight drum patterns. A real progressive vibe ensues constantly building the layers up to the break where that vocal takes centre stage with some sinister pads in the background, a truly well rounded track that will be a main feature in many sets.
