Berlin based artist Lunakid debuts on Bonzai Elemental with the cool and smooth vibes of Epic which features two superb remixes by the impressive Volta Cab. Lunakid has been electrifying people since 2012 with his brand of electronica, techno and punk. He has seen his music released on the likes of Klinik Room, Record Union and Ego Shot. The Original Mix of Epic opens with a fading in pad that creates a rich atmospheric sound which is soon joined by other ebbing and flowing sounds. A thick punchy kick drum delivers a breaks style beat that compliments the evolving soundscape beautifully. The track picks up an ethnic vibe along the way which is filled with melodies and enchanting voices. Wonderful stuff.
Eclectic producer based in St. Petersburg Volta Cab steps up for remix duties delivering a sublime take on the original. Here the remix intros with a cool pulsing bass that provides a solid foundation for the sounds to layer on. Cool and crisp percussions are the first to arrive before some groovy keys are introduced before chunky kicks find their way through. Swirling strings and pads are joined by a distant gated synth resulting in an eclectic groove.
Volta Cab’s 808 Mix pushes the boundaries of lounge grooves with an edgy and pacey slice of chilled out vibes. A cool drum n bass kinda flow drips off the sound as the fully utilised 808 beats will attest, while rich piercing strings etch out there mark on the sound. Very cool chord stabs bring in a little sprig of house making this a special track that will find its way into many collections for sure.
