Spanish DJ and producer Juanma is back with this four tracker entitled Baila EP. His last outing Kamatharu was his debut and performed very well indeed hitting download portals and playlists alike.
Baila intros with a cool percussive arrangement that is soon joined by a big chunky kick and throbbing bassline. Latin inspired chants bring a worldly character to the sound as well as some very cool vocal samples. The track keeps us locked in with its infectious grooves and on the break the bassline produces some cool note changes before getting right back into the main sound. A strong and solid groover that will get asses shakin all over.
Mystic Motion is up next and gives off a smooth mellow vibe from the intro. Thick chunky kicks and crisp hats are joined by distant wispy pads that bring cool melodic flavours. The first break enhances those pads with a contrasting deep toned vocal sample taking us out and into a lush laidback groove. The bassline has a perfectly balanced vibe as it dances up and down the musical scale creating a solid rhythmic groove. The main break adds more melodic flavours to those pads with the vocal samples remaining prominent. Super smooth and the perfect tonic for the late hours.
Next up we have Lust 112 which intros with a super tight drum arrangement complete with chunky kicks and crispy hats to get the rhythms on the move. A wonderfully deep bass takes over the low end as it throbs through the sound to the backdrop of a mixture of cool vocal snippets. The track takes on a sexy vibe with subtle erotic vocals coming through as the bass delivers its powerful groove. Definitely one for the deep dark late night party sessions.
Move On rounds up this superb EP and keeps the vibe alive with a cool rhythmic intro filled with sharp crispy hats and snappy drums. Punchy kicks soon follow and are joined by a powerful pulsating bassline that hits the spot with a punch. A wonderful smooth jazzy vocal becomes the main feature and sits in the sound perfectly. A real groovy mover here that will be a big hit on the floors for sure.
