UK based DJ and producer Jamie Baggotts marks his Bonzai debut with this stunning two tracker, Jerusalem. Jamie began his music career in the 90’s playing Drum n Bass before moving into the Trance world where he enjoyed relative success. After getting the producer bug he incorporated his unique DJing style into his productions, pushing the boundaries to discover fresh new styles. Releases on labels like Dusk Underground Music, Planet Acetate Records and Dash Deep Records followed and gave him the opportunity to share his music. We are delighted to welcome Jamie and his tight production skills here at BP and look forward to an exciting future.

First up we have Jerusalem which goes for the jugular from the get go. Pounding kicks sit over a rolling, energetic bassline that teases as it waits to pounce. Smooth rhythmic percussions give the sound a cool upbeat theme that works perfectly. The layers build beautifully here with various FX adding wonderful texture alongside a subtle melody. The bass intensifies and borders on the trance side as the track progresses taking you deeper into the groove. On the break we are treated to some very cool sweeping vox and a hypnotic arp before we are thrust right back into the main sound. An absolute monster here that will do a great job crossing over between prog house and deeper progressive trance sets.

Luna sets off with a nice punchy kick and raucous percussions that do a great job in getting the energy levels rising. A fantastic pulsing bassline comes through and then transforms into a full on driving progressive groove that really locks you in for the duration. Beautifully layered pads sit over the bass while various melodies combine on the hook culminating in a powerful rhythmic ride bringing a euphoric edge to the sound. Quite simply a stroke of genius that will appeal to many, a definite must have.
