Madrid based artist Jesus Gonzalez aka Jacob Singer shows up on our Green Martian imprint with the superb Briah EP which follows his stint over on Bonzai Progressive with Ain Sof EP, Marduk and My Inner EP. Jacob started out in music playing the guitar and was heavily influenced by rock and metal bands for many years. After he discovered electronic music however, he soon realised that this is where his passion lay. Now a veteran on the progressive scene he has churned out many noteworthy releases on various labels.

Briah intros with a nice punchy kick drum and a series of percussion patterns that make up a solid rhythm. The bassline soon follows and powers the groove with its probing, chest busting prowess. You will find yourself totally hooked on the deep progressive vibes this one offers, thanks to an array of melodic pads and keys. That hypnotic bassline remains a constant throughout making this an absolute must have track for the late night sessions.

Assiah is a deep, dark mysterious slice of outstanding progressive house. Right from the off we get caught up in its mesmerizing groove which is made up of a tight drum section accompanied by a series of intricate arpeggios and a probing bassline. Bright melodies adorn the groove also striking a beautiful contrast that gives the track a unique flavour. Definitely not to be missed.
