Following up from the impressive “Rainy Summer” I3000 delivers yet again with a sublime deep four tracker “Cats EP” with a nice little surprise in store also.

“Thima” gets us started with a wonderfully deep and groovy vibe, huge thump on the kicks and bass intro with some very nice percussions thrown in. Very minimal in approach with an almost sinister undertone riding through which gives this track a much more deeper feel, definitely one for those late night ventures.

Next up is “Picpic”, big heavy sounds abound right from the start taking us right into a deep deep vibe. The rhythm picks up nicely with a very cool arrangement on the percussions and a superb chunky bassline. Nifty synth work keeps this track on course and again we see this getting picked up by many as it has that big floor feel.

“Monsieur Mouche” retains the overall deep vibe on this EP but also creates a quite upbeat and energetic groove, and beautifully done! Really cool bassline from the start is a big part of that energy while a brilliant synth plays on through the background. Nice and easy vocals are coupled with a lot of quality FX work and on the break a tribal rhythmic element pops in, very well crafted!

Time for a nice surprise, Prompter aka Yury Soldatov and Chris Voss step up to remix duty on I3000’s previous outing “Rainy Summer”. After their debut on Eyepatch earlier this year with the “Mundo Distente EP”, the guys do a great job on beefing up the sound on this, chunky kicks from the off with a superb multi noted bassline give this a cool clubby feel. Solid deep tech groove all round with a few surprises on the break, very smooth indeed.
