Gelios aka Russian artist Dmitri Arkhipov, returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb, Gamma which follows his debut, Solar Wave. After many releases on various labels and seven full albums within the psytrance genre, he decided to move away from the trancey side of music to look at new sounds and new inspirations. In 2019, he started his latest project, Gelios, where his goal is to delve into the world of techno and progressive house, already he has a raft of top tracks under this pseudonym and his work is championed by many top jocks around the world.

This latest four tracker opens with Yellow which is a solid builder, complete with probing basses and a raft of mesmerizing motifs. Dark atmospherics bind the track beautifully as the tight progressive groove gets the floor moving. Golden is up next, with an equally tight construction as its predecessor. Focussing in on the cinematic pads and warm sequences, the groove is wholly infectious, drawing you in for the duration. Wonderfully executed, the perfect fodder for peak time, no doubt. Pink is next, delivering a more melodic flavour with techno elements. Flurries of percussions keep the rhythm flowing as hypnotic arps and droning basses combine to the backdrop of surreal melodics. Rounding out the release we have Red. The most dominant of the tracks with its rippling underbelly and powerful beats. A spacious groove which is perfect for the epic progressive set and will not disappoint.
