Die Vogelperspektive debut on Piston with this three track EP entitled ‘Pumpkin Pie’. Based in Germany this collaboration is made up of one boy and one girl whose styles combine so well. Very much rooted in minimal techno this pair can stretch their imagination into many genres. Since late 2012 they have released a fair amount of tracks and remixes under labels like Auditive, URSL and Shoes Bags & Boys. The pair also perform as a DJing duo having graced the decks around Germany, most notably at 2012’s Fusion bash.

First up we have the delectable ‘Pie’, solid kicks get the groove flowing before a wonderfully deep bass blasts through. The percussion do a great job on firing up the rhythm as the track takes us deeper into darker shades of house music. A very subtle synth floats in the background but it’s the mesmerizing bass that does the trick here, superb stuff.

Next we have ‘Pumpkin’ which gives off an energetic vibe as the tempo is ramped up slightly. Nice and chunky kicks form the intro alongside sharp hats before an infectious bass drives the track forward. Stunning piece of work here as the hypnotic grooves grab hold of your senses. Definitely one to watch and a must for your playlists!

Lastly we have ‘Thanks Giv’n’, that intros with a solid kick with minimal percussions. Smooth deep house chords soon follow as crispy hats come through creating a steady rhythm. Deep basses reverberate throughout as more lush chords invade the sound. Awesome slice of deep tech here that would do well in any set.
