UK based Cordoba aka Lloyd Trimmer makes his full release debut on BP after a series of well received remixes. ‘Surface’ comes with three top class remixes from Mindgamers and Audio Noir. Lloyd regularly DJ’s at various events across Europe and there will be much more from this guy on the production front no doubt.

The Original Mix intros with cool percussive elements and well honed FX, a nice chunky kick and bass combo punches though early on and we settle into a fine journey through the progressive spectrum. Simple melodic sequences have a huge impact on the sound and rising FX bring in each section with anticipation. On the break the subtle melody has a chance to shine before the edgy progressive nature of the track takes over once more, superb stuff.

Tallinn’s finest, Mindgamers , are up first on remix duty and yet again they prove to be masters of their trade with a wonderful slice of progressive house with a techy edge. The track gets right down to business with a chunky kick and in your face percussions. Vocal snippets are a big feature in the sound and the understated bassline sits perfectly in the arrangement. On the break a transformation takes place as sweetly strings and melodic pianos take over, this gives the track a cool dynamic before the relentless groove poke through once more, super stuff from the guys!

Australian based Audio Noir is a regular fixture within the Bonzai Progressive stable, he has racked up a very impressive amount of original releases and a slew of quality remixes. This time around is no exception as the quality continues to pour out of the land down under. The remix, An Audio Noir Trip, is a perfect example of the talent on offer from this guy. The intro has cool thumping kick and is backed with well constructed percussions, these build a steady rhythm as the track builds. A short break brings in a very cool vocal sample with the bassline coming through and engulfing the sound totally. The main break gives us a brilliant guitar riff alongside sweeping pads with a subtle melodic edge before crashing right back to a driving prog monster.

Audio Noir serves up another remix here with his Audio Noir Zen Mix. Quite simply a wonderful blend of melodies gelled together by some well placed percussive instruments and a bass that bellows from the depths. A pure chill fest and a great accompaniment to this release.
